On Thursday, March 8, 2018, the Electronic Application Entry for the «Saving Energy at Home» project starts.
The Program Implementation Guide has been posted, to give details about the implementation process.
The Tables with the Maximum Spending Limits per Expense Category are here.
Through the official website, applications will be submitted electronically by filling in an Application Form. At the request stage, no supporting documentation is required.
The main difference with the previous program is that no bank loan is required.
The new «Saving Energy at Home» project will subsidize up to 70% of the cost for the energy renovation work at homes.
The eligible budget for a home improvement project will be 25.000 euros and, since the maximum aid rate may be 70%, the highest possible amount of subsidy is 17.500 euros.
The extra amount (up to 25.000 euros) will be covered either by a private contribution or by a bank loan that is optional now.
In particular, a 60% subsidy will be granted to owners with individual income of up to 10.000 euros or with a family income of up to 20.000 euros, and 50% subsidy for individual income from 10.001-15.000 euros and a family income of 20.002-25.000 euros.
This percentage is reduced to 40% for individual income from 15.001-20.000 euros and for family income from 25.001-30.000 euros, to 35% for individual income from 20.001-25.000 euros and for family income from 30.001-35.000 euros, and to 30% for individual income from 25.001-30,000 euros and for family income from 35.001-40.000 euros.
For individual income of 30.001-35.000 euros and for family income from 40.001-45.000 euros the subsidy is 25%.
In all categories the subsidy is increased by 5% per protected member, provided that the total subsidy will not exceed 70% in the first four and 50% in the last two categories.
The maximum budget per application cannot exceed 25.000 euros, including VAT, or 250 euros per square meter.
Energy upgrading costs include replacement of window frames and shading systems, installation of thermal insulation in the building shell, upgrading of the heating system and upgrading of the hot water supply system.
